Your Representatives
Who represents Halifax — and how to reach them
Halifax is represented at four levels of government — and part of our town is represented by a Republican: Rep. Ken Sweezey (R) of the 6th Plymouth District, which includes Halifax Precinct 2. Here is who currently holds each seat.
Not sure which district you’re in? Halifax is split between two State House districts — Precincts 1 and 2A are in the 12th Plymouth, Precinct 2 is in the 6th Plymouth. Look up your exact state and federal representatives by address at malegislature.gov/Search/FindMyLegislator, or ask the Halifax Town Clerk.
Town Government
Halifax governs itself the way it has since July 4, 1734 — by open Town Meeting, where every registered voter has a voice and a vote. Meeting dates, agendas, and minutes are published by the Town at halifaxma.gov — and we track the upcoming ones for you on our Town Meetings page.
Halifax deserves strong, accountable representation at every level. The Halifax Republican Town Committee works to recruit and elect candidates who will fight for our families, taxpayers, and values — and to give voters a real choice on the ballot. Get involved and help us build the bench.
